In addition to developing project-based solutions that satisfy the specific needs of customers, and offering off-the-shelf products, Harp is also an R&D company. As a result of its investments into the technologies of the future using its own resources, Harp has come to be recognised also as a technological SME.
In the AFT Cooling project, implemented by Harp using its own resources and with KOSGEB support, the company aims to launch a new era in the design and production of the mechanical structures of electronic devices.
AFT provides a low resistance thermal path from heat dissipating components to the cooling air by allowing air passage throughout the cold plate of the VPX module resulting enhanced air cooling capacity.
Since AFT cooling eliminates the need for high thermal conductive material for equipment chassis, it will be possible to manufacture equipment chassis from much lighter materials like 3D printable plastics. As a result, the weight of the electronic equipment will be drastically reduced.
